Welcome to Lickey Hills Art Society Website

Date:  22nd September 2018 , 10am - 4pm

Leader: Professional artist, David (DJ) Johnson  (

The workshop will explore different ways of applying paint to achieve a variety of textures that would be found in nature. This includes different ways of applying paint with brushes, as well as using fingers, sponges and cardboard. We can also mix sand with the paint to give it an interesting texture. DJ will demonstrate a technique so that artists can then try it out with DJ available to give individual tuition. It will be enjoyable for experienced acrylic artists and beginners alike – at the end of the session everyone will go home with a completed landscape based on the Lickey Hills.

Where: The hall behind the Longbridge Methodist Church Hall, B45 9TY

Cost: £25

There are only 20 spaces so anyone wanting to take part will need to book as soon as possible. To join the workshop please contact Graham Wilson - 0121 453 7097 or email
